Bryan Bloemers — PresidentBryan Bloemers was born and raised in Green Bay but moved to Wausau fourteen years ago for his job in the pharmaceutical industry with his wife, Kerry. They have three children, Ethan (19), Emma (18), and Evan (14). Over the last several years their family has been involved with Peyton's Promise and his two oldest children are current advocates. Whether it be on a baseball or softball field or a basketball court, Bryan has volunteered within his community at various levels and enjoys helping out where he can.

Logan Brown — Vice PresidentLogan was born and raised in Wausau, WI. It’s also where he returned after earning his degree in Web and Digital Media Development from the University of Wisconsin — Stevens Point. He is passionate about using digital platforms to connect people to resources, but when he’s not behind a screen, his favorite way to spend time is doing outdoor activities surrounded by friends and family. Logan is excited to guide the development of Peyton’s Promise, and to continue the organization’s progress towards ending hunger in our communities.

Jessica Tlusty — SecretaryJessica J. Tlusty is the president and sole partner at Tlusty, Kennedy & Dirks Law Firm, located in Schofield, Wisconsin, where she has been employed since 1997. Ms. Tlusty graduated from Marquette University, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration.
She then graduated from William Mitchell College of Law, St. Paul, Minnesota, in 1997 with a Doctorate Degree in Law. Ms. Tlusty is married with two children and resides in Ringle, Wisconsin. She is also currently on the board of the DC Everest Area Education Foundation. |
Nate Bartz- TreasurerNate was born and raised in Wausau, WI and returned home after earning degrees in accounting and finance & investment banking from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. Nate enjoys using his background in accounting and finance to help various local non-profits, specifically those focusing on youth and the less privileged. Nate and his wife, Jess, have two children, Maverick (two) and Laney (7 months) that keep them on their toes. Aside from spending time with his family and being active in the community, Nate enjoys golf, anything outdoors, and soaking up any sporting event that he can.

Teena Medick — Executive DirectorTeena Medick has been involved with Peyton's Promise since its inception in 2007. What began as supporting her daughter's dream quickly became a full-time job of scheduling events and supporting advocates and volunteers. As a fitness instructor, Teena developed "Toning to the Core" in 2006 when she found a passion for strength training. Teena is active in her community of Jordan, MN as a Jordaness Lion, organizing community events, works as a Substitute Teacher for the Jordan School District and owns a Rodan and Fields business. Teena and her husband Mike have been married for 23 years and are the proud parents of Peyton and Christian (University of Mary).

Tom Wrysinski — MemberTom was born in Berlin WI and grew up in Wautoma WI. After graduation he joined the U.S. Navy and served 4 years on the USS Delta AR-9 and USS Wichita AOR-1 and was deployed in the Pacific and off the coast of Vietnam. Upon discharge Tom was employed by the Wisconsin State Patrol where he was the Communications Supervisor for 28 of his 35 years of service there. Tom received his bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Milton College. He has been married to Ruth for 48 years and they have two wonderful daughters and three granddaughters. Tom is an Elder and served on several committees at Covenant Community Presbyterian Church where he works in their food pantry and where he met Peyton and Teena. He was impressed by their commitment to the community and he looks forward to continuing the great accomplishments of Peyton’s Promise.

AJ Libby — MemberAJ, his wife, and daughter call Wausau home, but he grew up living in multiple states throughout the Midwest. He has worked in the grocery industry since he was 15 and is now the assistant store manager at Pick N Save. AJ enjoys spending time with his family, listening to podcasts, woodworking while watching the Minnesota Wild and Minnesota Twins. Since moving to Wausau and learning about Peyton’s Promise, he's been eager to help in the fight against hunger while bettering our community.

Amy Vachavake — Program CoordinatorAmy graduated from Wausau East High School in 1997. Amy joined the the Navy right after and served 4 years on the aircraft carrier USS Kitty-Hawk (CV-63) and was stationed in Japan for most of those 4 years.She was a firefighter and moved aircraft during those years. After her 4 years of active duty Amy was in the Navy Reserve for another 2 years.
Amy is currently a stay-at-home Mom of two children. Maricela who's 12 and Marcus who's 4 who are my entire world. Remy and I have been together for 14 years. She got involved with Peyton's Promise when my daughter joined in 2017 when she was in 5th grade. Within the first few events she fell in love with what the organization stood for and we volunteered for as many events as they could and still do today. |
Emily Martin — Education LiasonEmily has been a fourth grade teacher in the Wausau School District for the past 27 years. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Education Degree from UW-Oshkosh and her Master of Science in Education Degree from UW-Stevens Point. Emily and her husband, Mike, have two daughters, Grace and Madeline. Almost a decade ago Emily became involved with Peyton’s Promise when her daughters began volunteering. She is excited to work to expand our advocate membership and watch these kids grow and find their passion. When not working with children, Emily enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Alexandria Gates — InternAlexandria joined the Peyton’s Promise team in April, 2020 as their first ever intern and social media ambassador. She has lived and worked in the Wausau area for three years. She is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Adler University in Chicago. Alexandria is passionate about working with the youth in our community and has been blown away by the amount of care, love, and support shown by the Wausau area! She is excited to help this amazing community fight against hunger and empower our youth to hold up Peyton’s Promise’s values as they become the next generation of volunteers.

Rachel — InternRachel is currently a senior at the University of Wisconsin- Stevens Point studying to earn bachelor's degrees in social work and sociology. She is originally from North Fond du Lac, Wisconsin where she grew up and graduated high school. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, being active, and going camping. Rachel is passionate about helping others find the resources they need to be successful in their own dreams and passions. She is excited to be working with Peyton's Promise in the fight against hunger.
